Profile
Vantec was originally established under the name "Yokohama Yuso Co., Ltd" in January 1954, as a subsiduary company of Nissan, to provide transportaion and packing service to Nissan Production. In 1997, the company name changed to Vantec Corporation. The management buy-out in January 2001, was a flagship event in Vantec's history leading it to become one of the first major companies in Japan which actually achieved a management buy-out transaction successfully.
Since the second management buy-out in August 2003, Vantec has provided its total supply chain solutions for numerous clients all over the world through its 50 years history and advanced IT logistics management systems, as a leading independent logistics provider. In late 2004, Tokyu Air Cargo and Tokyu World Transport has become independent from the Tokyu Corporation and joined the Vantec Group under the new name of Vantec World Transport. In doing so, this has opened the complete logistics market even further to the Vantec Corporation, leading to the formation of Vantec World Transport.
